Children from toddlers to middlers are encouraged to join their peers in our new rotational schedule of learning. Their Sunday school time will run from 10:45 am-11:30 am, followed by snack and fellowship downstairs until 11:45 am.

We need volunteers for our Children’s Education Hour!

Check out the CE bulletin board in the hallway by the ladies room for ways you can volunteer to make our Sunday school year a success for everyone. Contact Brooke Johnson if you are interested: pascalwills@aol.com

Camp Quixote Updates

Send-Off for the Camp Quixote. On August 27, the Camp will move to the Unitarian (Westside) location. On Sunday, August 21, we will host a good-bye dinner for the camp’s residents, in the Social Hall beginning at 4:30 p.m., prior to the Camp’s usual Sunday evening meeting. We encourage all in our congregation to be part of this send-off. The dinner will be “pot luck”. Please sign up in the Narthex today, indicating what you can bring, or during the week, call Lee Johnson (866-2972) with questions or your plans.

Olympia City Council Meeting. On Monday, August 15 7:00 p.m., the City Council will hold an important public hearing regarding a change in the zoning laws which would provide an opportunity for the Camp to obtain and develop a permanent site for its residents. Because of developing opposition among the commercial interests in the area, it is imperative that friends of the Camp attend the hearing (beginning at 7:00 p.m.) to show their support for this change. There should be an opportunity to record your written support. You need not testify. The Council chamber in the new location (4th Avenue) will likely be filled, so plan to come early.
